What is Alpha Sigma Nu?
Alpha Sigma Nu is the international honor society of Jesuit colleges and universities. The society was founded in 1915 to honor a select number of students each year on the basis of scholarship, loyalty, and service. Alpha Sigma Nu seeks to identify the most promising students who demonstrate an appreciation of and commitment to the ideals of Jesuit higher education. Selection to Alpha Sigma Nu is one of the highest honors that can be given on a Jesuit college or university.

The Mission of Alpha Sigma Nu
Alpha Sigma Nu, the honor society of Jesuit institutions of higher education, recognizes those students who distinguish themselves in scholarship, loyalty, and service. The only honor society permitted to bear the name Jesuit, Alpha Sigma Nu encourages its members to a lifetime pursuit of intellectual development, deepening Ignatian spirituality, service to others, and a commitment to the core principles of Jesuit education.

Loyola Inducts 186 New Members
The Loyola chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu inducted 186 new members and welcomed 4 honorary members on September 27.
Loyola ASN Named Chapter of the Year
The Loyola chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu was named a Chapter of the Year for 2025-2026 by the Alpha Sigma Nu international office.
Loyola Hosts ASN Leadership Summit
Alpha Sigma Nu hosted its Leadership Summit at Loyola’s Schreiber Center September 15–17, 2023. The Leadership Summit welcomed chapter officers and chapter advisers from Alpha Sigma Nu chapters from across the U.S. and Universidad Loyola Andalucía.
